In 2017, Beaumont acquired the Autodesk Moldflow Plastics Labs business that was currently being operated in Ithaca, New York. During that time, Jacob Trott became the Material Characterization Division Manager of Beaumont Advanced Processing, coordinating the relocation and implementation of the lab back to Erie, Pennsylvania. Beaumont and Autodesk now work together to service the characterization needs of customers worldwide for Autodesk Moldflow Simulation Software.

A graduate of Plastics Engineering Technologies from Penn State, he originally joined the Beaumont family of companies in 2014, working on various R&D projects and production molding work.
