Tom has more than 30 years of experience in the packaging industry, with experience at leading paperboard, polyester, nylon, & food companies.  He is currently the Technical Marketing Leader, Packaging for AdvanSix Nylon Solutions. He obtained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and oversaw barrier testing at International Paper and commercialized oxygen scavenger PET bottles at Eastman Chemical Company.  More recently, Tom was the subject matter expert for barrier technology and shelf-life modelling in Kraft/Mondelez’s long-range packaging group, during which time, he partnered with the supply chain to commercialized new co-ex films, ISBM bottles, & oxygen scavengers for food & beverage.
