Speaker Interview: Jill Caskey, Solex

Introducing our next speaker interview, featuring Jill Caskey, Global Sales Director at Solex.

Jill looks after the North American market in the areas of plastics, fertilizers, chemicals, sugar, and biosolids. Helping to facilities with solutions for cooling, heating, drying bulk solid materials and/or waste heat recovery in these industries.

What are the biggest challenges facing the market today, and how can this be overcome?

Finding ways to incorporate waste heat recovery efforts into existing processes and operations, that provide a relatively decent ROI.

In your opinion, what do you consider to be the greatest development in your industry in the last decade?

Energy market initiatives including waste heat recovery, carbon capture, and concentrated solar power.

How do you see the sector developing in the next five to ten years?

With the consideration of emissions reduction, energy consumption and government regulation, I see good potential for companies to look at new and innovative ways to improve product quality, alongside finding ways to decarbonize existing operations.

You will be speaking at the AMI Plastics World Expos in North America, could you give us a preview on what you will be talking about?

I will be exploring methods for decarbonizing existing operations in the areas of pre-heating and/or cooling plastic pellets using moving bed heat exchanger technology, as well as waste heat recovery ideas that can be incorporated using heat pumps and heat pipe technology.
