AMI's Cleveland expos attract record numbers

The AMI Plastics World Expos took place in Cleveland, Ohio, USA for the fourth time on November 15-16, 2023 and attracted record numbers of exhibitors and visitors. The event brought together four focused exhibitions – the Compounding World, Plastics Recycling World, Plastics Extrusion World and Polymer Testing World Expos.

“We were thrilled to welcome 347 exhibitors and 5,134 attendees to this year’s exhibitions, representing year-on-year increases of 15% and 12% respectively,” said Kelly DeFino, exhibition sales manager at the event’s organizer AMI. “The expos are now well established as the biggest annual event for the North American plastics industry, and more than 250 companies have already booked their booths for next year’s show in Cleveland”.

The five conference theaters hosted more than 100 speakers and were a major attraction once again, with standing-room only for many talks and panel discussions. The evening networking party also proved popular, with more than 500 people joining in the fun and games at the Punch Bowl Social Cleveland.

Visitors appreciated the opportunity to meet a wide range of suppliers under one roof and discover new products. Josh Hensley, technical services engineer at Westlake Royal Building Products, said “The Expo is an excellent opportunity for catching up with current suppliers and learning about other products and services in the industry. I will certainly add this event to my calendar next year.”

Exhibitors were delighted with the number and quality of leads that they collected. Timothy Michalowski, president of Berlyn ECM, said: “This is a spectacular event to meet new clients, while the information provided by the many speakers is one of the best ways to stay current in today's environment. The free admission is fantastic. What a great way to draw people from all areas of manufacturing that might not otherwise attend these types of events.”

The AMI Plastics World Expos returns to the Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland on November 13-14, 2024.
