In our latest interview, we spoke with Scott Saunders, General Manager of KW Plastics, North America's largest recycler of HDPE and PP. Scott shared insights into their impressive production of over 500 million pounds of recycled resin annually and highlighted their commitment to sustainability in the packaging industry.

At the upcoming Plastics Recycling World Expo, KW Plastics will showcase their innovative resins and capabilities, demonstrating how their products not only meet the growing demand for recycled materials but also contribute to a more sustainable future.

Can you provide a brief overview of your company and the products/ services you'll be showcasing at the event? 

KW Plastics is North America's largest recycler of HDPE and PP, producing over 500 million pounds of recycled resin annually. At the AMI Plastics World Expos, we'll be highlighting our resins and capabilities.

What recent trends or developments in the industry are you most excited about, and how do your products/ services align with them?

KW is excited by the opportunities that have developed around sustainability and the packaging industries interests in using recycled resins for their applications. Our products, derived from post-consumer and post-industrial sources, offer customers a high-quality, sustainable option for their applications.

Could you share a success story or case study demonstrating how your products/ services have benefited a customer?

KW collaborates closely with brands and molders to integrate recycled materials into existing and new processes. Most applications find our material is a "drop in" or only needs minor process modifications to run high percentages of our  material.

Will you be conducting any demonstrations or interactive activities at the event? If so, what can attendees expect?

We will have samples of our resin available.

What are your company's goals for the future, and how do you see yourselves contributing to the evolving industry landscape?

Our aim is to process one billion pounds of recycled feedstocks into high-quality recycled resins annually. We actively participate in industry and government initiatives to expand recycling efforts.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
